How a Waffilo week works
- Sunday evening, Waffilo writes next week's posts from your brand profile and what's on near you, with a new image for each.
- Monday at 8am you get an email with every post. Approve them all in one tap, or open the week to change things first.
- Approved posts go out on their own at the times shown. Nothing goes out without your OK unless you turn on Autopilot.
- If you haven't approved by Wednesday morning, you get one reminder.
Connecting Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Go to Accounts and pick a platform. You sign in on the platform's own screen, so we never see your password.
- Facebook posts to a Facebook Page, not a personal profile. Pick the Page when Facebook asks.
- Instagram needs to be a Business or Creator account. You can switch for free in the Instagram app: Settings, Account type and tools.
- YouTube posts your video clips as Shorts. If your Google account has more than one channel, pick the one for your business.
- Google Business Profile is your listing on Google Search and Maps. You need to be an owner or manager of it.
- If something says it needs reconnecting, tap Reconnect. It usually happens after a password change.
Changing a post
- Each post has a tab per platform, because each one gets its own version.
- Edit the words right on the post. Ask for a rewrite if it's not right (up to 3 per post).
- Swap the image for one of your own photos, or skip a platform for that post.
Adding your own photos and clips
- Every post comes with a new image. Swap it for your own photo or clip on the post itself.
- Add photos on the Brand page. Waffilo may use one it hasn't posted before when it suits a post, and it uses them all to match your style.
- Add short clips from your phone (3 to 90 seconds) and they go out as Reels, TikTok videos and YouTube Shorts. Keep clips under 60 seconds if you want them on YouTube.
Holidays and what's on near you
- Set your town on the Brand page.
- Waffilo checks public holidays, school holidays and, in the bigger cities, events like games, concerts and cruise ship days.
- When something matters to your business, your posts mention it and Monday's email gives you a heads-up.
Comments and results
- Comments on your posts show up on the Comments tab, with a suggested reply you can send or change.
- The Results tab shows how many people saw your posts and what they did. Next week leans towards what worked.
Autopilot, schedule and cancelling
- On the Brand page you can change how many posts a week (3, 5 or 7), which days and what time.
- Autopilot schedules each week without waiting for you. You still get the Monday email and can pull any post before it goes out.
- Cancel any time from the Account page. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.
Questions people ask
Will the posts sound like a robot wrote them?
They start from your own website and a brand profile you've checked, so they talk about your actual business in your tone. You can edit anything, ask for a rewrite, and use your own photos. Real photos of your place and your people make the biggest difference.
Can it post something without me knowing?
Not unless you turn on Autopilot. By default every post waits for your approval. With Autopilot on, we still email you the week before anything goes out.
Do I need to give you my Facebook or Instagram password?
No. You connect through each platform's own sign-in screen and choose which page Waffilo can post to. We never see your password. You can disconnect from Waffilo, or from your Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn settings.
Which platforms does it work with?
Facebook Pages, Instagram, Google Business Profile, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube (Shorts, from your video clips). On Google Business we also ask about your hours before each public holiday, and nothing changes unless you answer. Each one gets its own version of a post, written for that platform, and not every idea goes everywhere. Instagram needs to be a Business or Creator account, which is free to switch to in the Instagram app.
Can I post videos?
Yes. Add short clips from your phone (3 to 90 seconds) and Waffilo builds posts around them, going out as Instagram and Facebook Reels, TikTok videos and YouTube Shorts.
How does it know what's on near me?
Tell it your town. Waffilo checks public holidays (including your anniversary day), school holidays and, in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, big local events like games, concerts and cruise ship days. When something matters to your business, your posts mention it and Monday's email gives you a heads-up.
What if I don't like a post?
Edit it, rewrite it (up to 3 times per post), swap the image, or leave it unapproved and it won't go out.
Do I have to use AI images?
No. Each post starts with a new image made in your style, and you can swap in your own photo or clip on any post. Waffilo doesn't reuse pictures from your website or old posts, so your feed doesn't repeat itself.
I already use Meta Business Suite. Why would I need this?
Meta Business Suite is good for scheduling Facebook and Instagram, but you still have to come up with and write every post. Waffilo does the drafting each week, adds TikTok and LinkedIn, and shows you what's working.
What happens to my information?
We use it to run your account and write your posts. We never sell it. Our privacy page lists what we collect and who helps us process it, in plain English.
How does the free trial work?
You get 14 days to try everything, and you don't need a card to start. After that it's NZ$29 a month including GST, our launch special.
What if I forget to approve?
You get one friendly reminder on Wednesday. Anything you haven't approved doesn't go out.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from your Account page. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.
Can I use it for more than one business?
One brand per account. For a second business, set up a second account.
